Colleen Dawicki
Project Manager
508-910-6407
Since August 2011, Colleen Dawicki has led the Urban Initiative as Project Manager. Colleen works with the Urban Initiative's many community partners to identify projects for which there is not only a high need, but also a high potential for significant positive impacts in the cities we serve. In addition to overseeing the day-to-day work of the Urban Initiative, she works to promote an informed conversation about urban policy issues in the region by consulting with local stakeholders, communicating via local media outlets, and engaging new audiences through social media.
Before joining the Urban Initiative, Colleen worked in the nonprofit sector and as a researcher for a policy consulting firm. During graduate school, she was awarded a Rappaport Public Policy Fellowship and worked the City of New Bedford's Office of Housing and Community on neighborhood revitalization efforts. A New Bedford resident and South Coast native, she holds a B.A. in Public and Private Sector Organizations from Brown University and a Master's of Public Policy (MPP) from UMass Dartmouth.
