AVC for Environmental Health & Safety

The Assistant Vice Chancellor for Environmental Health & Safety will oversee the university’s compliance with local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations. The AVC for EHS leads the Office of Environmental Health & Safety is responsible for developing and implementing policies and practices to improve laboratory safety and environmental performance and has considerable discretion and authority in maintaining institutional compliance and managing various aspects of EHS, including biohazards, radiation, hazardous materials, and hazardous waste management.

The search for UMass Dartmouth’s first Assistant Vice Chancellor for Environmental Health & Safety has been making great progress. The position attracted a strong pool of candidates, and the Committee has now completed its first-round interviews. 

I wanted to let you know that we will be bringing four finalists to campus over the next ten days. Each candidate will give a short presentation and answer your questions in an Open Session to be held as follows:
