Performers and Performing Entities
Please review the Massachusetts Department of Revenue guide on who & what is classified as a performer.
When on-boarding/working with a performer, kindly note the following:
- Performers are subject to withholding tax with the state of Massachusetts.
- Withholding tax is calculated cumulatively per calendar year.
- Performers are subject to 5% withholding cumulative amount if invoice/payment exceeds $5,000.
