Since her days as a student, Alycia Tellen has been committed to being an active, engaged member of the UMass Dartmouth community. Tellen served as a resident assistant and tutor while graduating summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in finance and a minor in accounting.
Tellen’s finance career has blossomed at Liberty Mutual Insurance, where she was first an associate accountant in the Corporate Accounting Department, and later accountant and senior accountant. She joined the Corporate Deployments Liberty Management System (LMS) team as a coach where she was responsible for the implementation and sustainability of LMS within the Corporate Finance departments, including educating and coaching to build a sustainable system of continuous improvement based in principles of Lean Six Sigma. Currently, Tellen is a senior financial analyst on the Third Party Reporting team within Global Consumer Markets Finance. She is responsible for the reporting of the affinity quota share results as well as long-term financial planning and analysis for the affinity partnerships in the personal insurance sector.
Tellen received an MBA and master’s degree in accounting from Suffolk University and also earned the designation of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) in June 2017.
Alycia is thrilled to be working with the Alumni Association Board of Directors, the Alumni Association and strengthening her ties to UMass Dartmouth, the alumni, as well as current and future students.
