Fadia Karam-Youssef earned an M.A. in Arabic Literature and Language from the Lebanese University in Beirut, Lebanon. Professor Youssef teaches elementary and intermediate Arabic and French at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. She taught Arabic literature for several years at the secondary and university levels in Lebanon. Professor Youssef is active in the broader Arab-American community in Fall River, Massachusetts, and also teaches conversational Arabic at Bristol Community College. She continues to stimulate the interest of American students, not only in the Arabic language, but also in Arabic civilization and culture.
