Service Learning

Working in conjunction with the Leduc Center for Civic Engagement at UMass Dartmouth, Dr. Carlos Benavides has implemented service learning projects in his courses. Service Learning enables students to improve their Spanish skills and knowledge about Hispanic culture while at the same time engaging in activities that benefit the local Hispanic community (mainly New Bedford, MA).
