Enabling Javascript

The following instructions describe how to enable JavaScript for your web browser.

Enabling JavaScript for Mac OSX Browsers

Firefox for Mac OSX

  1. Select Preference from the Firefox menu.
  2. Click Content.
  3. Check Enable JavaScript.
  4. Close the window.
  5. Click the Reload button to refresh the page.

Internet Explorer 5.X for Mac OSX

  1. Select Preferences from the Explorer menu.
  2. Click the arrow next to Web Browser.
  3. Click Web Content.
  4. Under Active Content check Enable Scripting.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Click the Reload button to refresh the page.

Netscape 7.X for Mac OSX

  1. Select Preferences from the Netscape menu.
  2. Click the arrow next to Advanced.
  3. Select Scripts & Plugins from the list.
  4. Beneath "Enable Javascript for," select Navigator.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Click the Reload button to refresh the page.

Safari for Mac OSX

  1. Select Preferences from the Safari menu.
  2. Click Security.
  3. Check Enable JavaScript.
  4. Close the window.
  5. Click the Reload button to refresh the page.

AOL Browser for Mac OSX

  1. Select Preferences from the AOL menu.
  2. Select WWW.
  3. Click the Content tab.
  4. Check “Enable JavaScript” under Active Content.
  5. Click OK.

Enabling JavaScript for Windows Browsers

Firefox 1.X and 2.X for Windows

  1. Select Options from the Tools menu.
  2. Click the Content tab.
  3. Check Enable JavaScript.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Click the Reload button or press the F5 key on your keyboard to refresh the page.

Internet Explorer 7 for Windows

  1. Click the Tools button (located in the upper right part of the screen, next to the gear icon) and select Internet Options.
  2. Click the Security tab.
  3. Click the Custom Level... button. The Security Settings dialog box opens.
  4. Scroll down until you can see "Scripting" heading. It is located near the bottom of the list. Under the Active scripting heading select Enable.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Click Yes.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click the Reload button or press the F5 key on your keyboard to refresh the page.

Internet Explorer 5 and 6 for Windows

  1. Select Internet Options from the Tools menu.
  2. Select the Security tab.
  3. Click the Custom Level... button. The Security Settings dialog box opens.
  4. Scroll down until you can see Scripting heading. It is located near the bottom of the list. Under the Active scripting heading select Enable.
  5. Click Yes.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Click the Reload button or press the F5 key on your keyboard to refresh the page.

Netscape 7.X for Windows

  1. Select Preferences from the Edit menu.
  2. Click the arrow next to Advanced.
  3. Select Scripts & Plugins from the list.
  4. Beneath "Enable Javascript for" select Navigator.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Click the Reload button or press the F5 key on your keyboard to refresh the page.

Netscape 6.X for Windows

  1. Select Preferences from the Edit menu.
  2. Click Advanced.
  3. Check Enable JavaScript for Navigator.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Click the Reload button or press the F5 key on your keyboard to refresh the page.

AOL 7.0 and above for Windows

  1. Select Preferences from the Settings menu.
  2. Click Internet Properties (WWW) under Organization.
  3. Click the Security tab.
  4. Check the Custom Level button.
  5. Scroll down to locate Scripting.
  6. For Active Scripting click Enable.
  7. Click OK, and then OK again to close all dialogs.
  8. Close the Preferences window, and then Reload the page.
