Enabling Javascript
The following instructions describe how to enable JavaScript for your web browser.
Enabling JavaScript for Mac OSX Browsers
Firefox for Mac OSX
- Select Preference from the Firefox menu.
- Click Content.
- Check Enable JavaScript.
- Close the window.
- Click the Reload button to refresh the page.
Internet Explorer 5.X for Mac OSX
- Select Preferences from the Explorer menu.
- Click the arrow next to Web Browser.
- Click Web Content.
- Under Active Content check Enable Scripting.
- Click OK.
- Click the Reload button to refresh the page.
Netscape 7.X for Mac OSX
- Select Preferences from the Netscape menu.
- Click the arrow next to Advanced.
- Select Scripts & Plugins from the list.
- Beneath "Enable Javascript for," select Navigator.
- Click OK.
- Click the Reload button to refresh the page.
Safari for Mac OSX
- Select Preferences from the Safari menu.
- Click Security.
- Check Enable JavaScript.
- Close the window.
- Click the Reload button to refresh the page.
AOL Browser for Mac OSX
- Select Preferences from the AOL menu.
- Select WWW.
- Click the Content tab.
- Check “Enable JavaScript” under Active Content.
- Click OK.
Enabling JavaScript for Windows Browsers
Firefox 1.X and 2.X for Windows
- Select Options from the Tools menu.
- Click the Content tab.
- Check Enable JavaScript.
- Click OK.
- Click the Reload button or press the F5 key on your keyboard to refresh the page.
Internet Explorer 7 for Windows
- Click the Tools button (located in the upper right part of the screen, next to the gear icon) and select Internet Options.
- Click the Security tab.
- Click the Custom Level... button. The Security Settings dialog box opens.
- Scroll down until you can see "Scripting" heading. It is located near the bottom of the list. Under the Active scripting heading select Enable.
- Click OK.
- Click Yes.
- Click OK.
- Click the Reload button or press the F5 key on your keyboard to refresh the page.
Internet Explorer 5 and 6 for Windows
- Select Internet Options from the Tools menu.
- Select the Security tab.
- Click the Custom Level... button. The Security Settings dialog box opens.
- Scroll down until you can see Scripting heading. It is located near the bottom of the list. Under the Active scripting heading select Enable.
- Click Yes.
- Click OK.
- Click the Reload button or press the F5 key on your keyboard to refresh the page.
Netscape 7.X for Windows
- Select Preferences from the Edit menu.
- Click the arrow next to Advanced.
- Select Scripts & Plugins from the list.
- Beneath "Enable Javascript for" select Navigator.
- Click OK.
- Click the Reload button or press the F5 key on your keyboard to refresh the page.
Netscape 6.X for Windows
- Select Preferences from the Edit menu.
- Click Advanced.
- Check Enable JavaScript for Navigator.
- Click OK.
- Click the Reload button or press the F5 key on your keyboard to refresh the page.
AOL 7.0 and above for Windows
- Select Preferences from the Settings menu.
- Click Internet Properties (WWW) under Organization.
- Click the Security tab.
- Check the Custom Level button.
- Scroll down to locate Scripting.
- For Active Scripting click Enable.
- Click OK, and then OK again to close all dialogs.
- Close the Preferences window, and then Reload the page.
