Commencement 2019 ceremonies will be held on Friday, May 10 and Monday, May 13. Schedules and information for students and guests are now available, and all ceremonies will be streamed live.

In what order will students receive degrees?

Graduates will be seated and called by college, then by major, seated alphabetically. 

Have I have met all of the necessary requirements to graduate?

Students should meet with their respective advisors to ensure that they have met their degree requirements.

How do I declare my intention to graduate?

You will receive an email invitation to complete the online application to graduate.

What's the deadline for residential students to check out of the Residence Halls?

  • Non-graduating seniors must be properly checked out of their residence halls no later than 5 pm on Thursday, May 9, 2019.
  • Graduating seniors/students working commencement must be properly checked out of their residence halls no later than 12 noon on Saturday, May 11, 2019.
  • Graduating graduate/law students must be properly checked out of their residence halls no later than 7 pm on Monday, May 13, 2019.

How and when will I know if I am eligible to participate in Commencement?

Once your application for graduation is accepted by the Registrar's Office, you are registered for commencement activities. If you will not complete your degree requirements by the spring semester but wish to participate in the May Commencement ceremony, please review information for "Summer Graduates" on the Registrar's Graduation page.
