Status: 

A special topics course about environmental design by artists from the 1970s to the present. The course will particularly focus on artist Nancy Holt, creator of a major piece of public sculpture on the UMass Dartmouth campus. In addition to learning about art history of environmental design, students will be involved in designing and organizing an exhibition of Nancy Holt's artwork in the UMass campus galleries (opening February 2021). Students will learn practical skills of exhibition-making and museum practices.
