BLS 315: Social Control
Prerequisite: Upper Class Standing
A critical examination of social control in contemporary societies. This course connects the theoretical constructs of control with current practices of policing, imprisonment and crime control. Study may include the work of Michel Foucault, Joy James, George Jackson and others.
