IAD 451: Portfolio and Development

Prerequisite: Senior Standing in Interior Architecture and Design Program

Portfolio Development will allow students to produce a traditional, printed, digital, and web-based portfolio in preparation for the job market. They will learn how to document, organize and enhance previous studio projects (digital photography, image processing using PhotoShop). This course will also familiarize students with the aesthetic issues and tools necessary to produce and complete their portfolio (graphic lay-out concept, use of type, etc.). The course will finally integrate students¿ individual design experience into both media, which will become their calling card preparing them to compete in a global market. Notes: Workload per week: one hour of lecture, two hours of studio and six hours of homework; or one hour of lecture, two hours of lab and six hours of homework. Prerequisite: Senior standing in Interior Architecture and Design Program.
