LAW 644: Animal Rights Law
Addresses the issue whether certain legal rights should be bestowed to animals, by exposing students to a wide range of animal welfare and state legislation issues affecting the legal protection of both domestic and wild animals. The course will also study some existing legal issues relating to animals, such as injuries caused to and by animals, the loss of animal companionship, animal cruelty, and veterinary malpractice.
