SOA 305: Political Sociology
Prerequisite: SOA 101 or SOA 111 or PSC 101 or 102
Sociological perspectives on the study of power relationships, political communities, political processes, and institutions. The course addresses questions like, Who controls America's institutions? What are the rights and powers of ordinary citizens? How are decisions made about war and peace? About the distribution of resources? What is the relationship between political, economic, and ideological power?
