WGS 321: Women, Crime, and the Law
Prerequisite: Upperclass standing or permission of instructor (45 Cr or More)
Exploration of the impact that women have on the criminal justice system, as well as the impact that the system has upon women. This course will serve to provide an alternative to the traditional focus of criminal justice courses. It explores issues relevant to understanding the experience of women and girls as both offenders and victims, as well as practitioners in the criminal and legal systems.
