As of Tuesday, March 24, only students with extenuating circumstances that have been approved through a petition process are permitted to remain in housing. Those who petitioned to remain in housing during our virtual learning period have received a decision regarding their petition, and the housing portal is closed at this time. Students who were unable to return to collect their belongings from their residence hall room by Monday, March 23, must discuss alternate arrangements with staff in Housing and Residential Education after stay at home guidance and directives are lifted by federal, state, or local authorities. Please note, all student needs were and continue to be addressed on a case by case basis.
Please note that we may relocate students who are allowed to remain in our halls to support recommended social distancing. The case managers will work with other students to identify solutions and resources that will assist in returning to their homes or sending environments to complete this semester.
At present, the Library is open Monday through Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Limited on-campus dining options will be available. Full details including new hours will be posted on the dining page and their social media accounts @UMassDEats.

Transportation will be running Monday, Wednesday and Friday from noon to 4pm. They will operate on the retail loop. Drivers will be sanitizing the shuttle multiple times a day.
The mail and package center would like to work with you in regards to your mail and packages.
For pending order(s) that have not been delivered to the university, there is time to have your delivery rerouted. Please immediately call the number affiliated with the carrier that is shipping your package (i.e UPS , FEDEX, Amazon) and request that your package(s) be re-directed to your current place of residence.

If you currently have something waiting in the Student Package Center, it will be held for you until the campus reopens.
For students who are returning to campus to retrieve items from the residential halls during approved times, the parcel lockers are holding packages for pickup.

Arnie’s Cupboard will be available, on an ‘as needed’ basis to those with emergency food needs, by contacting the Student Affairs office at 508-910-6402. The Student Affairs staff will make arrangements to open the cupboard.
