Pennel Environmental Contaminants Research Group
Principal Investigator: Kelly Pennel <contact/web info>
This research group aims at better understanding the fate and transport of environmental contaminants. It is particularly interested in connecting research, practice and policy, such that health risks can be better characterized and mitigated. The group is actively involved in research projects in three areas: the fate and transport of subsurface vapors (originating from hazardous waste sites) that could potentially enter indoor air spaces (i.e. vapor intrusion); the fate and transport of nano-silver in the environment; and the effect of sequential water disinfectants. Please contact the PI directly for available opportunities.
