Linux remote access
Access from off-campus or from wireless (UMASSD) must be made through a VPN connection.

To connect:
After authenticating through CITS VPN server (if needed), you may use remote desktop client to connect to the linux servers.
Windows: Type "Remote Desktop Connection" in the search bar
MacOSX: Download Microsoft Remote Desktop client from app store
Remote desktop server is 134.88.53.59*
*134.88.53.59 requires special permission from Dr. Laoulache
Mapped drives:
/home/username (linux share)
/class (M: Class drive)
Installed Software:
- Comsol (research license)
- Matlab
- OpenFOAM
To end your session:
From the pull down menu at top right corner, username -> Log Out
Special notes:
default shell is bash, save custom settings to ~/.bashrc
Disconnected sessions are automatically terminated after 48 hours.
