Students must be full-time, undergraduate or graduate students majoring in Engineering, Nursing or Medical Laboratory Science; residents of Massachusetts and citizens or other permanent lawful residents of the US. and have demonstrated financial need.FA
Charles W. Fifield Jr. Co., Inc. ScholarshipTo aid full-time matriculated undergraduate or graduate students in the Department of Textile Science based on financial need and academic merit. Preference will be given to a student with less need but greater potential over a student with more need but less potential. Scarpitti ScholarshipTo provide financial assistance to a student, with preference for a student of Italian extraction, who is enrolled as a candidate for a bachelor of science in engineering degree. Award decisions shall be made by the Dean of College of Engineering and chairpersons of the Mechanical Engineering based on considerations which seem appropriate to the Dean and chairs, including but not limited to academic merit and financial need as determined by the university's financial aid office.FA & COE

WILLIAM T. ANDERSON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPThe fund will support a junior or senior engineering student in good standing with demonstrated financial need. If and when the fund may provide more than one scholarship per year, only the first scholarship will be restricted to a student in engineering.FA & COE

MARIE SKLODOWSKA CURIE SCHOLARSHIPTo support scholarships for female science, mathematics, and engineering students at UMass Dartmouth. Preference should be given to students of Polish descent. The distribution will be done by the Polish Women's Business and Professional Club with cooperation of invited UMass Dartmouth faculty.COE

Donald Watson ScholarshipTo support a junior majoring in Engineering and Science including Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Sciences, Materials and Textiles and/or Physics. Preference will be given to the student who displays a passionate desire to succeed in the above areas, shows outstanding leadership qualities, as well as outstanding communication skills. Their passion to succeed can be demonstrated by maintaining a 3.0 (or higher) GPA or by demonstrating an outstanding work ethic be it through the University's co-op program or other work program. Each scholarship will be up to $3,000 and the scholarship is renewable based on the student's academic performance and co-op experience. FA & COE
Robert A. Melendes Memorial Merit ScholarshipTo support undergraduate students who demonstrate a gift for the study of physics. The amount of the award may be determined by the selection committee but it is the donor's preference that an award from the fund provide for all or as nearly as possible all of a recipient's tuition, fees, and living expenses for the academic year. In the event that more candidates are determined to be eligible for the scholarship than there are funds available, the selection committee may look to other criteria such as need or excellence in other fields. However, a student with less need but greater potential for excellence in physics shall prevail over a student with greater need but less potential.PHY/ COE/ FA
TACY SCHOLARSHIPThe purpose of the Fund will be to provide merit scholarship support to two female students who are majoring in Engineering, and two students, male or female, who are majoring in the Liberal Arts and who possess an interest in Religious Studies. All students must maintain a 3.0 or higher grade point average, be the first in their family to attend college (in the case of dire need this criterion may be waived for one scholarship), reside in Southeastern Massachusetts, and have demonstrated financial need. Each scholarship will be for $1,000 and as funds increase, each scholarship will be for a maximum of $2,000. Univ Merit Committee
SEAN D. DUARTE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPTo support a sophomore, junior or senior Civil Engineering student who has demonstrated financial need. Students must have at least a 3.25 grade point average and must be involved in the national Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Program through one of the University’s STEM initiatives with local public schools. Other community based projects may apply. Scholarship recipients will have an opportunity to apply for a paid internship with Camp Dresser and McKee (CDM) and will also qualify for CDM’s mentoring program as part of the scholarship award. Scholarship recipients may apply for successive awards if they continue to maintain a 3.2 GPA, but an award does not imply continuation beyond a single year.FA & COE & Chair

Eligible applicants must have at least a 3.2 grade point average and have an established interest in a field of study with emerging bioengineering or biomedical careers nationally and regionally. Preference will be given to female bioengineering majors based on demonstrated financial need and merit. Scholarship recipients may apply for successive awards if they continue to maintain a 3.2 GPA, but an award does not imply continuation beyond a single year.FA & COE & Chair

Michael and Lisa Joyce ScholarshipTo support full-time students with financial need enrolled in the College of Engineering, with preference given to students majoring in Bioengineering. JOHN A. FREEMAN SCHOLARSHIPTo support a full-time junior or senior in the College of Engineering who has financial need. Eligible students must have at least a GPA of 2.5 or above and preference will be given to residents of Fall River, Massachusetts. Recipients are eligible to receive the scholarship for multiple years if they continue to maintain a 2.5 GPA.FA & COE
BERGER, BERTRAM (BSCE/ASCE) For undergraduate junior or senior Civil and Environmental Engineering students. This is a need and merit based scholarship with need taking priority. Donald and Sandra Wood Award Criteria: Scholarship awards shall be made during the spring semester of the junior year to the two Civil Engineering majors with the highest garde point averages.
