DESCRIPTION:Partial ABSTRACT: Recently, micro/nano-textured superhydrophobi
 c surfaces (SHSs), which trap a layer of gas bubbles, or plastons, within 
 their microcavities, have provided exciting opportunities for reducing fri
 ction drag in turbulent flows.  This gas layer forms a nearly shear-free
