To date, MUST has funded 59 research projects, bring ing together regional and national collaborators to strengthen the Navy's access to cutting-edge research and build a pipeline for a highly trained workforce. These research areas include autonomous underwater vehicles, ba ttery systems, biofouling, composite materials, modeling ocean dynamics, u ndersea acoustics for communications and sensing technologies, AI/Machine Learning, and cybersecurity.
