hat will involve data analysis? Join us for this overview workshop of a da
tabase management system (DBMS)! DuckDB is fully open-source under an MIT
license and its development takes place on GitHub in the duckdb/duckdb rep
ository. It has no DBMS server software to install, update and maintain wh
ich results in high speed data transfer to and from the database. Because
of the simplicity in installation and lightweight nature of DuckDB, it is
notably portable and can be compiled for all major operating systems. Duck
DB may be used for interactive data analysis by a user such as combining a
nd analyzing CSV files of climate data. This workshop will give a general
overview of DuckDB and present some of the resources available for accessi
ng it and learning how to use it. Pizza will be provided! Please register
