Flu Clinic

It’s always important to get a flu shot. But with COVID-19, it’s even more important this year. Flu is a dangerous disease, but it’s even more deadly when combined with the risks associated with COVID-19. Fortunately, UMass Dartmouth in association with Walgreens is here to help by offering another opportunity to get your flu shot on campus: 11/16 & 11/17.

With flu season approaching, Human Resources has partnered with Walgreens to help the campus community obtain easy access to flu shots through flu vaccination clinics on Tuesday, November 16th from 10:00am – 12:00pm and Wednesday, November 17th from 2pm – 4pm at Woodland Commons Conference room 1.

According to the CDC, the flu is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses that infect the nose, throat, and sometimes the lungs. The first and most important step in preventing flu is to get a flu vaccine each year. The flu vaccine has been shown to reduce flu-related illnesses and the risk of serious flu complications that can result in hospitalization or even death.

Appointments are encouraged, but walk ups are also welcome. Click here to schedule your appointment. Once your appointment has been confirmed, you will receive the necessary forms that must be completed before arriving at your scheduled appointment.

All members of the campus community including family, friends, and the local community are welcome and encouraged to take advantage of these convenient opportunities to receive the flu shot.
