The Leduc Center offers a range of programs that promote civic participation and engaged learning. They are run in collaboration with other schools and departments, which helps serve a variety of different populations across campus. Our current programs are focused on three different initiatives: college awareness, literacy/education, and civic engagement.

America Reads/Counts

The America Reads/Counts program places college student tutors in community centers, local elementary and middle schools, and preschools to provide classroom support and individual attention to struggling and at-risk students. Learn more

Community Health Workers

The Community Health Workers – Advocate! Navigate! Educate! (CHW-ANE) service year is a collaboration between the Leduc Center for Civic Engagement, the College of Nursing, and College Now. Learn more


Kids2College is a college-awareness curriculum that engages fifth grade students and increases their awareness of how education impacts future life choices. Learn more


LEADS (Leadership for Educational Attainment Developed through Service) is a collaboration between the Leduc Center and the Fall River and New Bedford Public School systems. Learn more


The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program is a strategic partnership between the Charlton College of Business, the Leduc Center, and the Community Economic Development Center (CEDC) in New Bedford, MA. Learn more

Leduc Leaders

Leduc Leaders is a program that combines community service with leadership training. Learn more
