Fox-Firestone Residence, Sherman, CT, 1991 Project Not Built

"Perched at the crest of a magnificent hill, this ten-thousand-square-foot house was designed for a couple with four grown children. Two-story-high studio bedrooms provide spacious privacy for all. In spite of its size, the house feels compact. The interior space is clearly defined around a central corridor, which connects all the rooms. The strong triangular cross section of the house recalls other projects designed by Rudolph in the late 1960s, such as the 1969 Central Library in Niagara Falls." De Alba, Roberto. Paul Rudolph: The Late Work. New York: Princeton Architectural Press, 2003.
