Harold Bloom Award Ceremony postponed

UMass Dartmouth postpones September 14 for award ceremony for renowned literary critic Harold Bloom

Due to yesterday's tragedy, the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth has postponed an honorary degree ceremony for celebrated literary critic Harold Bloom that was scheduled for Friday, September 14. Nobel laureate, Dr. José Saramago, himself the recipient of an honorary doctorate from UMass Dartmouth in 1999, was to participate. 

The university postponed the event, as well as the lecture and a companion event planned for the New York Public Library on Monday. These events will be rescheduled, but the new date is not known.
