IMPACT New England announces seminar programs
IMPACT New England at the Center for Teaching and Learning will offer a lecture entitled, "The History of Intelligence and The Policies and Practices of American Schools," presented by Dr. Greg Ciardi on Monday, March 4, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. The program, part of the E3-"Efficacy, Equity and Expectations," Leadership Seminar Series will take place in the Conference Dining Room, with parking available in lot 5.
Ph.D. degree from UMass Dartmouth, UMass Lowell
Westport resident Brian Blanchette, son of Norman T. and Freida A. Blanchette, is the first recipient of the joint Ph.D. degree between the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at UMass Dartmouth and the Department of Chemistry at UMass Lowell.
Film Series continues at UMD with "The Last September"

Nominations sought for The Jonathan Waxler Memorial Prize for Social Justice
Individuals who have exhibited a dedication to social activism are eligible to receive the Jonathan Waxler Memorial Prize for Social Justice. In 1995, friends and colleagues of Robert and Linda Waxler, in memory of their son, established the $500 annual award
Using Films in the Foreign Language Classroom
The UMass Dartmouth Department of Foreign Literature and Languages will sponsor a presentation by Professor Anne-Christine Rice entitled, "Using Films in the Foreign Language Classroom," on Friday, March 1, from 3-4 p.m. The talk will be held in the Liberal Arts and Business Building, room 209, with parking in lots 1 or 2.
