CIS 246: Found of Secure Computing

Prerequisite: C or better in CIS 181

Foundational understanding of secure computing. Explore fundamental concepts, potential attacks, defense tools, defensive programming, risk management, cryptography, secure computing and security models along with computer networks. Learn to describe and mitigate threats, apply defensive methods, and understand legal and ethical issues. This course equips students with essential skills and vocabulary to safeguard information systems effectively.
