State restrictions for online degree and certificate programs
Alabama, Arkansas, Maryland, Minnesota and New Mexico Residents: You are not eligible to apply for any UMass Dartmouth online degree or certificate programs due to your home-state regulations resulting from legislation. UMass Dartmouth welcomes applicants from those states in face-to-face programs only. For details about regulations in your state that may affect your enrollment in an online program offered by another state, you may wish to consult your state's Department of Education and/or learn about efforts of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements.
Readmission to Pursue a Second Bachelor’s Degree
Individuals who received a bachelor’s degree from UMass Dartmouth or a predecessor institution may request readmission to pursue a second bachelor’s degree. These requests are submitted to the Registrar who forwards the request to the dean of the college that offers the student’s intended major. If readmission is granted, students must complete at least 30 additional credits at UMass Dartmouth. All courses required for the second degree must be taken, including any prerequisite or courses not previously completed satisfactorily. Readmitted students will be considered a regular degree-seeking student and be subject to the major program requirements and the University’s academic policies and procedures.
Readmission to pursue a second degree is not automatic; some readmission requests are denied. The individual is evaluated for academic qualifications and for availability of space in the major program.
For more information about readmission, please call the Registrar’s Office at 508.999.8615.
