2021 Virtual IMS Research Symposium

Join us March 24 & 25

Hosted by the SMAST Graduate Student Association, the Intercampus Marine Science (IMS) Research Symposium is an opportunity for all UMass IMS Program faculty, research staff, and students to share their current or proposed research, receive feedback, and build their CV. This 2-day, virtual event will be held Wednesday, March 24 & Thursday, March 25, from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. The symposium is free and open to the public.

Call for judges, posters, & photos

poster judges:

We're seeking faculty, postdocs, & PhD students to serve as judges. Contact Elizabeth Ells.

poster abstracts:

Send us your abstract for a marine science-related poster presentation. Each presenter may present a 3-minute talk summarizing the respective poster. Awards will be provided for the best talk & overall poster presentation. Submit your poster title and a maximum 250-word abstract by March 17 to Alanna Mnich & Adrienne Silver.

photo contest:

Are you a marine science photographer? Enter our photography contest. Photos must pertain to marine science (field research, underwater photos, lab experiments, etc.). Submit 5 photos maximum to Sid Kerhalkar.
