CANCELED: 2020 IMS research symposium

UMass Dartmouth's School for Marine Science & Technology will host the 2020 UMass Intercampus Marine Science Research Symposium. The symposium is an opportunity to learn about the cutting-edge marine science research being conducted by students, staff, and faculty from UMass campuses (Amherst, Boston, Dartmouth, and Lowell). 

The morning session will consist of plenary presentations and the afternoon will consist of lightning talks and a poster session. In addition to oral presentations, the event will feature keynote speakers, a reception, and awards for the best overall poster presentation and best talk. Free & open to the public. Lunch provided. Reception to follow. 

Call for poster abstracts & judges

Submissions for abstracts related to marine science are due by Monday, March 16, 2020. Each poster presenter is invited to present a 3-minute “lightening talk” summarizing the respective poster. Posters should be under 4x4 ft. in size. Please submit your poster title and maximum 250-word abstract to Alanna Mnich at and Adrienne Silver at
