Thursday, October 18

Class of 1968, it's time to celebrate your milestone reunion--50 years! Gather with your classmates for a special cocktail reception on campus. Hors d'oeuvres will be served and a cash bar will be available.

Gather with the Frederick Douglass Unity House at its annual alumni social hour.

At our annual Golden Graduates Clamboil, UMass Dartmouth celebrates alumni who have graduated 50 or more years ago from our predecessor institutions: Bradford Durfee College of Technology, New Bedford Institute of Technology, Swain School of Design, Southeastern Massachusetts Technological Institute, Southeastern Massachusetts University, and Southern New England School of Law.
Join us for a fun afternoon of reminiscing and, of course, a delicious clam boil lunch!

Feeling creative? Got something in your notebook you've been wanting to share?
Step up to the mic at this poetry reading sponsored by the UMass Dartmouth Claire T. Carney Library Associates. This evening of non-competitive poetry readings is open to alumni and students. The readings are timed, and there is no censorship, but please be mindful of the mixed ages in the audience.
This event is free.
1. Listen as courteously to others as you would like to be listened to.
2. This is not competitive, no criticism necessary
3. Time is limited. Each person will have up to three minutes to read his/her poem
4. One poem per participant
5. No registration required
6. Remember this is a mixed audience please think carefully about the language of your poem

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the cross country program, the cross country course will be dedicated to long-time coach Robert Dowd. Join the group for a modified run following the dedication and a breakfast in the alumni tent.

Start off the day with a yoga class on the quad led by yoga instructor, Kimberly Griffith '94.

Rise and shine and begin the day with a breakfast buffet in the Alumni Tent. Attendees of the Cross Country Course Dedication and morning yoga are invited to attend, as well as all Homecoming guests.

11:00am UMassD Field Hockey vs. Worcester State College
12:45-2:00pm Tailgate celebration
Join field hockey alumnae to celebrate their 45th reunion during Homecoming Weekend with a fun scrimmage game. After, watch the current Corsairs play, then the group will hold a tailgate celebration.

Reconnect with your UMassD classmates as you enjoy a BBQ, music and cash bar. The first 400 alumni at the tent will receive a free t-shirt! The Alumni Tent will be open until the end of halftime of the football game.
Check out the Turf Terrace for the best views of the action on Cressy Field. Your entrance bracelet also allows you admission to any of the day's home games.

UMassD alumnus and comedian Jimmy Tingle '77 returns to campus to perform a special comedy night for Homecoming Weekend. The Cambridge, Mass.-born Tingle has a career spanning three decades, as a comedian, writer, actor, activist and entrepreneur. He rose up from the Boston comedy boom of the ‘80s, the scene that spawned Steven Wright, Denis Leary, Bobcat Goldthwait and Paula Poundstone.
He wrote and delivered short commentaries for “60 Minutes II” on CBS in the “Andy Rooney” spot. Tingle also worked as a contributor and satirist for MSNBC and has appeared on The Tonight Show, CNN, “Larry King’s Weekend”, “Late Night with Conan O’Brien”, “The American Comedy Awards”, as well as his own HBO half-hour comedy special. He has also been a guest on NPR’s “Fresh Air with Terry Gross” and appeared regularly on “Heat” with John Hockenberry.
