Professor Bromage garnered international fame when his blog on the virus went viral and he became a regular guest on national news. This Corsair Chat will explore how the struggle and successes for LGBTQ individuals in Massachusetts have shaped the movement nationally in the recent advances at the Supreme Court in marriage equality and employment protections. UMass Law Professor Jeremiah Ho, recipient of the 2020 Manning Prize for Teaching Excellence, writes about law and inequality, exploring such issues mostly with respect to sexuality, race, and culture.

It is no secret that the proper pairing of food and wine can bring joy to otherwise mundane dining experiences. There is a scientific basis for the magic that a sommelier can bring to a meal. Bob Burke has pursued the hidden attractions like a mad scientist in his Pot au Feu Bistro in Providence, RI, which has been his laboratory for more than three decades. In this short seminar he will reveal his secret formula for food and wine paring. You will never think about wine the same way after this session. The quantum theory will make sense of the universe of wine and food.

Johnson and Correia were part of a team of UMass Dartmouth students who participated in the highly competitive Mass DiGi Summer Innovation Program where they created a game. Associate Professor of History Mark Santow and former students from his Honors 201 course will discuss their experience learning about the history of the Civil Rights Movement during an alternative spring break trip in 2019 to Alabama and Georgia. Chef Kevin and Chef Helder will be demonstrating how to skin and debone a whole monkfish. Monkfish is an abundant, yet underutilized fish in New England. When cooked, the texture of the meaty, white flesh is similar to lobster meat. UMass Dartmouth Dining Services is bringing you their award winning recipe that was perfected at the 2018 Seafood Throwdown hosted by the New Bedford Fishing Heritage Center.
