For education on the Janus case, this message was created to be printed on double sided, index sided palm cards.

The Janus Supreme Court case would prohibit public-sector unions from requiring nonmembers to pay fair share fees instead of dues.  Only union members will have to support the union financially, but the union will be required to provide representation to all employees whether they belong to the union or not.  It will impact our power as public employees to keep our health insurance, pensions, and other rights and benefits. It will affect our ability to deal with workplace issues such as working conditions, staffing, and unfair discipline.

"These powerful interests want to gut one of the latest remaining checks on their control — a strong and united labor movement that fights for equity and opportunity for all, not just the privileged few," - AFT President Randi Weingarten.
