Laura Morelli

The Boivin Center for French Language and Culture proudly presents its first program of the fall semester.  Art historian and author, Laura Morelli will present a talk on her book Made in France on Monday, September 22, 2014 at 4 PM in the Grand Reading Room of the Claire T. Carney Library at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.

Ms Morelli holds a PhD. from Yale University where she was a Bass Writing Fellow.  She has taught art history at several universities including  Trinity College in Rome, Northwestern University,  and Merrimack College.  She authored a column for the National Geographic Traveler called “The Genuine Traveler”and has contributed pieces about authentic travel to national magazines and newspapers.  Ms Morelli has been featured on CNN, Frommers Travel Show, Travel Today and in USA Today, House and Garden Magazine and Traditional Home.

Laura Morelli is the author of Made in Italy, Made in France, Made in the Southwest,  and the historical fiction, The Gondola Maker.  She has lived in five countries including living in France for four years.
