CJS 386: Prison Industrial Complex

Prerequisite: Upperclass standing or permission of instructor (45 Cr or More)

An investigation of how the political, social, and economic interests that converge on the site of the prison determine criminal justice policy. This course is a study in the cultural and political economic dimensions of structural violence, with the prison system as the illustrative case study.
