FIN 398: Financial Institutions

Prerequisite: FIN 312; at least JR standing; for Business majors and Finance Minors only or by permission of the appropriate department chairperson

Study of the operations of financial institutions and the interrelationships between their activities and overall economic activity. Emphasis is placed on the effects of economic forces, regulation, and technological change on the structure, performance, and management of these institutions. Contemporary issues and real-world examples are examined to illustrate how these factors influence financial institutions and markets.
