Check out these opportunities:
Alternative Spring Break
The Leduc Center sponsors and/or organizes 2-3 alternative spring break trips each year to both domestic and international locations. Each trip has its own unique focus area, from sustainability to food security. Most trips feature service activities during the day, and bonding and exploring in the evenings.
Community Service Club
The Leduc Center has started a new club to help connect students with community service opportunities. The club meets on the first Wednesday of every month during the academic semester.
First Saturdays of Service
First Saturdays of Service are community service events scheduled on the first Saturday of each month during the academic semester. These events are opportunities for students to engage in service with the surrounding communities of Dartmouth, Fall River, and New Bedford. The service events vary each month and transportation is provided.
SouthCoast Serves is a collaborative of community organizations facilitated by the Leduc Center that fosters service and volunteerism to meet the needs of our community by leveraging resources, expertise, and capacity to maximize impact. Learn more about SouthCoast Serves.
In Need of Volunteers?
Students at UMass Dartmouth love to get involved with the local community. If you are in need of some volunteers, we can help connect you with students and student groups. Please submit your request online, and we will work to recruit volunteers.
