FIN 493: Financial Mgmnt Of Corporation

Prerequisite: FIN 312; Senior standing, Business majors and Finance minors only

An advanced exploration of the principles and practice in corporate financial management. Complex issues in the management of corporate funds are examined, and selected topics across key areas of financial activity are analyzed. Critical topics¿including capital expenditure policies, long- and short-term financing decisions, dividend policies, mergers and consolidations, and developments in financial markets¿are explored through real-world cases and contemporary examples. Emphasis is placed on building strategic thinking, strong analytical skills, and the ability to evaluate complex financial decisions in changing business environments.
