Mentor the next generation of Corsairs – virtually and on your schedule
Career Conversations with Alumni is a flexible, high-impact way for UMass Dartmouth alumni professionals to support students through one-on-one virtual career mentoring. Whether you're an early-career professional or an industry veteran, your experience matters and students want to learn from you.
What are Career Conversations?
They are 30-minute virtual meetings where you’ll share your insights, advice, and career story with current UMass Dartmouth undergraduates.
- Format: 1:1 virtual mentoring (you provide the Zoom link)
- Time Commitment: Just 2 hours per month
- Platform: Appointments are scheduled through Handshake by our Career Center staff
- Student topics may include:
- How you got started in your industry
- Resume and interview tips
- Job search strategies
- Navigating early career challenges
- Workplace culture and advancement

Who can join?
We welcome alumni from all majors and industries who are currently employed and willing to share honest, supportive guidance.
- Must be a UMassD graduate
- Must be willing to host 1–4 virtual sessions per month
- Must be employed in the industry you represent

We’ll guide you through every step from scheduling to promotion. You don’t need to be a career coach just be yourself and be open.
