UMass Law Student Profiles

You have a dream to practice law.
We can help make that dream a reality.

Our goal is to ensure access to an affordable legal education for students who hope to promote justice and serve others through the practice of law. If this is your dream, we encourage you to apply.

We are interested in students who embody the best qualities of our Commonwealth:

Is this you? Then we invite you to apply to UMass Law.

Four reasons to consider UMass Law now

Commonwealth Fellows program

UMass School of Law has launched a new Commonwealth Fellows program to provide an automatic $5,000 discount for incoming law students who are either Massachusetts residents or attended a Massachusetts public college or university as an undergraduate, and who scored 152 or higher on the LSAT and earned a 3.0 or higher undergraduate GPA.

FSU-UMass fast-track

Fitchburg State University undergraduates on the FSU-UMass Law fast-track can substitute their first year of law school for their senior year at FSU, earning their bachelor's degree and the juris doctor degree in six years instead of the traditional seven.

Qualified FSU students will be guaranteed admission to UMass Law School and will complete their bachelor's degrees at the UMass Law campus.

ABA accreditation

The University of Massachusetts School of Law – Dartmouth is provisionally approved by the Council of the Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar of the American Bar Association, 321 North Clark Street, Chicago, IL 60610, (312) 988-6738.

Learning by doing

At UMass Law, you won’t just learn the law. By taking advantage of our many opportunities for experiential learning, you will learn how to be a lawyer by doing what lawyers do.
