Five alumni join the group of volunteers dedicated to making connections for UMass Dartmouth alumni and students
The UMass Dartmouth Alumni Association welcomed five new members to its board beginning at the start of the fiscal year on July 1, 2025. Werlaine Badio ’17, Jason Costa ’97, MBA ’07, Steven Giesta, MBA ’24, Grace Perry ’20, and Alan Roscoe ’84 join the group of 20 alumni volunteers who collaborate with the Office of Alumni Relations to create opportunities to connect, engage and support UMass Dartmouth’s alumni community.
“The Alumni Association Board is filled with dedicated leaders who support UMass Dartmouth and its students,” said James Pace ’09, president. “I am excited to work with all of our members to foster inclusiveness, create opportunities for alumni to give back to the university, and increase student involvement and engagement with our alumni network.”
New Alumni Association members are:
- Werlaine Badio’17, director of grants and sponsored projects at Bridgewater State University; Charlton College of Business
- Jason Costa ’97, MBA ’07, president and CEO of Mission Mobile Medical & Horizon Healthcare Partners; Charlton College of Business
- Steven Giesta ’12, MBA ’24, senior manager plant lead at Whirlpool Corporation; Charlton College of Business
- Grace Perry ’20, PhD student in biochemistry at the University of Cambridge and the National Institutes of Health; College of Arts & Sciences
- Alan Roscoe ’84, senior project manager at TF Moran, Inc.; College of Engineering
With committees focusing on alumni-to-student engagement, affinity groups, and events, the Alumni Association Board members work to develop programs and initiatives that connect UMass Dartmouth alumni with each other, with students, and the wider UMass Dartmouth community.
