Facilities for textiles and fiber arts include surface design print room, dye lab with mixing station and drying room, dark room, spray room, batik room, papermaking studio, weaving studio, and textile media lab. Graduate students have their own studios and installation spaces.

Papermaking studio with:

  • Mold-and-deckles of various sizes and shapes

  • Assorted linters and additives available for purchase

Weaving studio with:

  • 20 Floor looms
  • Computerized dobby loom
  • Expansive yarn storage area

Library with:

  • 175+ Textile reference books
  • Periodicals
  • Slides

Separate graduate studios, installation space and critique areas

Textile media lab staffed by a full-time computer-design technician, with

  • 11 Macintosh computers with large screen monitors
  • Array of general design software
  • Printers and scanners
  • Pointcarré proprietary industry software for advanced textile design
