Z.archive Exhibit Opens at Library Archives

Building the Collection at Claire T. Carney Library Archives and Special Collections

Zines so far

Artists and designers have been invited to submit their zines to the inaugural Z.Archive exhibition at the UMass Dartmouth Claire T. Carney Library Archives and Special Collections, which runs January 12 - February 16, 2018. The reception will be on January 31, 2018 at 6-7pm.

All submissions to the exhibition will be on display, and after the exhibit concludes, all the zines will become a part of the growing permanent collection of zines at UMass Dartmouth. Zines are self-published, small-circulation, handmade magazines or books; they often cover unconventional topics.

Submissions have come from all across the country and abroad. The zines are a variety of sizes, shapes, and mediums, with wide ranging subjects. From art world critiques to sad football fans and everything in between, there’s something for everyone at this exhibit.
