Graduation/Attrition Rates

            For students who begin the senior year, the graduation rates are:

CLS Class of 2014:                       97% (with a 3% attrition rate)

CLS Class of 2015:                      100% (with a 0% attrition rate)

CLS Class of 2016:                       94% (with a 6% attrition rate)

 

Results from National Certification Examinations

The certification examination for graduates from the Clinical Laboratory Science program is the Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) examination offered by the Board of Certification (American Society for Clinical Pathology). The pass rate for graduates who have taken the exam within one year following graduation:

CLS Class of 2014:           89% Pass Rate (National pass rate was 86%)

CLS Class of 2015:           89% Pass Rate (National pass rate was 79%)

CLS Class of 2016:           93% Pass Rate (National pass rate was 73%)

 

Employment Success Rates:

CLS Class of 2014: Twenty- nine (29) graduates had a job within one year of graduation. Twenty-nine (29) were employed in clinical laboratory settings and one (1) also continued education, with a placement rate of 100%. Twenty-seven (27) are employed in Massachusetts; two (2) in Rhode Island.

CLS Class of 2015: Thirty-one (31) graduates had a job within one year of graduation with a placement rate of 100%.

CLS Class of 2016: Thirty (30) graduates had a job or continued with education within one year of graduation with a placement rate of 100%.
