X-Ray Diffractometer in the SouthCoast Single Crystal X-Ray Diffraction Facility
The facility is equipped with a state-of-the-art dual source Bruker D8 Venture single-crystal diffraction system.
The instrument features:
- a sealed tube Molybdenum source with a triumph monochrometer
- an IμS microfocus Copper source with Helios MX optics
- a Photon 100 complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) detector
- an Oxford Cryostream 700 low temperature device
In addition to single crystal samples, the XRD2 plug-in to the APEX2 software allows for the collection of powder diffraction data on this instrument.
