Wei-Shun Chang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at UMass Dartmouth. He received his Ph.D. from UT Austin in 2007 supervised by Prof. Paul Barbara. He joined the Link group at Rice University in 2007 as a postdoctoral researcher and became a research fellow in 2012. The Chang lab at UMass Dartmouth aims to develop spectroscopic techniques to understand the physical and chemical properties of nanomaterials. Particularly, he is interested in the electrocatalysis and photocatalysis of metallic nanostructures and 2D materials and utilizes state-of-the-art single particle spectromicroscopy combined with high-resolution electron microscopy to understand the structure-function relationship of these materials.
