CVPA Admissions Procedures

CVPA Admissions Banner (alternate).

CVPA is a community of learners committed to developing individual creative potential by exploring the symbols and language of the visual and performing arts. Undergraduate admission to the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth is selective, based on academic performance and promise. The University is interested in applicants whose scholastic performance, aptitude, interests, character, and study habits give promise of success.

All applicants to any of the studio art majors must meet portfolio requirements as an element in the department's admission decision. All applicants to CVPA's music programs are required to audition.

Graduate, postbaccalaureate, and certificate program admission to the University is made at the department and college levels through a process of faculty review of individual applications and approval from the Dean of the College.
