Classes

Adult Basic Education (ABE) Classes/GED and HiSET

Mornings: three days for a total of 12 hours

Evenings: two nights for a total of 6 hours

We offer up to four levels of remote and in-person Adult Basic Education classes to help adults develop the skills needed to to achieve the goals of job attainment/advancement, high school equivalency attainment, and entering postsecondary education or training. Technology skills are integrated throughout all class levels.

Levels 1 & 2 (GLE 0-6.9)

Focus on reading, writing, and math skills, while integrating social studies and science.

Levels 3 & 4 (GLE 6.9+)

Focus on preparing students to take and pass the HiSET or GED test in order to earn a Massachusetts High School Equivalency Certificate.

English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Classes

Mornings: three days for a total of 12 hours

Evenings: two nights for a total of 6 hours

We offer several levels of ESOL classes to help adults learn and improve the English skills they need to achieve the goals of progressing to the next level of class, job attainment/advancement, and/or entering postsecondary education or training. Technology skills are integrated throughout all class levels.

ESOL for Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Classes

Daytime: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-2:30pm for 16 weeks.

New classes begin in September and February.

We offer ESOL classes integrated with Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) training. This program is for English language learners interested in careers as CNAs. Students develop and improve English speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. They will also work with our advisor on interview practice and resumes. Upon completion, students will be qualified to take the Massachusetts State Nurse Aide test leading to job placement.
