Panelists

Dr. Stephanie Dunbar (BA 1995)
Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd

Stephanie received her BA in Mathematics from the UMass Dartmouth in 1995 and went on to receive her PhD in Statistics from the University of Virginia in 2000.

She has worked in the Pharmaceutical Industry for over 17 years in various roles, most recently as the VP of Clinical Operations, Biometrics and Data Sciences at Teva.

Zachary Grant

Dr. Zachary Grant (BS 2012)
UMassD & Oak Ridge National Lab

Zachary J. Grant has successfully defended his thesis in March 2018, and will be receiving his PhD in summer 2018 in engineering and applied science at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, where he earned a BS in 2012 in computational mathematics.

Dr. Grant is a recipient of a prestigious national award, the 2017 SIAM Student Paper Prize. He presented his winning paper at the SIAM Annual Meeting, held July 10-14, 2017 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. 

Ms. Yerandy Minaya (BS 2016)
Metlife

Yerandy Minaya received her B.S in Mathematics, Computational Science Option from UMass Dartmouth in May of 2016 and she is currently pursuing her M.S in Computer Science from UMass Dartmouth and her ACAS designation from the Casualty Actuarial Society.

She started her career at MetLife Auto & Home as a Data Analyst, and within a year she was promoted to Senior Data Analyst with the Data Innovation Team where she was responsible of managing data cleanup, database design, preparation of data for production, data architecture, and supported Ad Hoc for Research, Data Science and Underwriting teams. After six months as a Senior Data Analyst, she was promoted to be a Research Consultant in the Actuarial & Geospatial Studies team.

Yerandy is currently a Research Consultant at MetLife Auto & Home where she is responsible of building predictive models for business application and analyzing internal and external data to identify profit opportunities and challenges. Also, she is the Vice President of Membership at Toastmaster MetLife Warwick, RI, which is a communication and leadership club.
