Charlton College of Business Scholarships

For matriculated students. Read descriptions for eligibility requirements and application process. If a separate application is required, it will be listed with the scholarship.

For those scholarships that require a Merit-based General Scholarships & Eligibility Application, only one completed application is necessary to be considered for multiple scholarships.

For sophomore, junior or senior students enrolled at the Charlton College of Business. Must be a resident or Fall River, Somerset or Westport.

A completed 2014-2015 FAFSA by March 1 will automatically allow students who meet eligibility requirements to be considered for this scholarship.

Roger Deveau Memorial Award in MIS

For full-time student majoring in Management Information Systems.

CCB Scholarship Application

Submission deadline:

Kenneth G. Gammons C.P.A. Scholarship

To aid full-time, undergraduate matriculated students in the Charlton College of business majoring in accounting/finance. It is preferable that students be enrolled in their junior or senior years at the University and that they reside in either the greater New Bedford, MA or the greater Sarasota, FL areas.

Alphee Laflamme Scholarship

For juniors majoring in accounting. Preference will be given to students who are in the top five percent of accounting majors. Recipients must demonstrate leadership and service to the school and the community through curricular and extra-curricular activities.

Christine M. Lonczak Scholarship

For full-time matriculated undergraduate students majoring in Marketing at UMD. Student must have a strong academic performance in major, as well as demonstrate financial need.

Cecil Milton Lopes III Memorial Scholarship

For UMass Dartmouth student from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Preference will be given to Charlton College of Business sophomore students with a minimum GPA of 2.5 and to Native American, African American, or Cape Verdean student who is matriculated in the Charlton College of Business.

Cecil Milton Lopes III Scholarship Application

Submission deadline:
March 1

Matthew J. Macy Memorial Scholarship

To support a graduate from one of the five local high schools in and around the city of Fall River, MA:  BMC Durfee High School, Bishop Connolly High School, Joseph Case High School, Somerset High School and Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School.

The recipient must be sophomore majoring in accounting. Academic standing and extra-curricular activities will be considered. Student must demonstrate financial need.

Scholarship is renewable for two years as long as the student maintains a GPA of 2.7 or better.

A completed 2014-2015 FAFSA by March 1 will automatically allow students who meet eligibility requirements to be considered for this scholarship.

Ryan P. Nolan '07 Memorial Scholarship

To support students with demonstrated financial need who are US citizens and are permanent residents first of Mattapoisett, Fairhaven, Acushnet, Dartmouth, or New Bedford, Massachusetts, or second from Bristol County. Preference will be given to students majoring in Marketing with a GPA of 2.75 or higher.

Recipients who maintain a minimum GPA of 2.75 may apply for successive Nolan scholarships, but an award does not imply continuation beyond a single year.

A completed 2014-2015 FAFSA by March 1 will automatically allow students who meet eligibility requirements to be considered for this scholarship.

Frank C. Santos, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund

To support matriculated students in the Charlton College of Business. Preference will be for students who graduated from Dartmouth High School or New Bedford High School. Students must demonstrate financial need.

A completed 2014-2015 FAFSA by March 1 will automatically allow students who meet eligibility requirements to be considered for this scholarship.

William C. Wild Scholarship

For undergraduate students in the Charlton College of Business. Scholarship based on merit.

Chung Gong Wong Scholarship

Preference given to an undergraduate or graduate student who resides in the greater Fall River area; emphasis on International Business curriculum, academic merit, and demonstrated financial need.
