Thesis Instructions for CIS Graduate Students

To all students who are required to present a Thesis/Dissertation:

If you are preparing to defend a Thesis/Dissertation please be sure to email your signature page only to the Graduate Studies Office at apgradstudies@umassd.edu for review and approval.  All signature pages must be approved by the Graduate Studies office before any signatures can be obtained.

Please be informed that you will need to bring a hard copy of your signature page, before defending your Thesis, to the Graduate Studies office. The Graduate Studies office will inform you as to the proper formatting for your Thesis.

When you have completed at least 90% of your Thesis/Dissertation writing you can print a hard copy of your document out, single sided and bring it over to the Graduate Studies office in the Foster Admin. Building, Room 327, Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, and drop it off for review. Only formatting is reviewed NOT content. Content is reviewed by your advisor and committee. Please remember that reviews are done on a first come first serve basis, and depending on the time of the year reviews can take two or more weeks to complete.

Please refer to the Thesis Guide link for information on how to format your document properly. See: Graduate Student Resources

Also, when your Thesis is 90% complete you may have the Graduate Studies Office review it for formatting as well.
